Abstract
Oral history interview with Douglas Cooper, class of 1963. Cooper describes his childhood in Ohio and his time at Dartmouth. He shares his experience at Navy Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island, followed by his first tour on the USS Morton and what he calls the "third" Gulf of Tonkin Incident in September 1964. He then discusses his second tour and his transition to civilian life, including attending law school at the University of Wisconsin.
