Oral history interview with R. Scott Cheyne, class of 1966. Cheyne describes his childhood in Massachusetts. He discusses his time studying at Dartmouth and offers details about the social life on campus. He shares his experience of military training and attending the Officer Candidate School. He recounts his arrival in Vietnam and the adjustments made during the bombing halt in 1968, along with his daily duties during service. He concludes by describing his return from Vietnam, reassignment to Rhode Island, and the subsequent course of his career in public affairs.
