Our Interviewers
All Dartmouth Vietnam Project interviews were conducted by Dartmouth College undergraduate students. Before conducting their first interviews, our interviewers received training in oral history theory and method, the ethics of oral history, interviewing technique, digital audio recording practices, and Vietnam War history.
During the first years of the DVP's operations, our student interviewers were trained in a summer term co-curricular program developed by the DVP Leadership Team. Starting in 2020, new DVP student interviewers received their training by enrolling in HIST 10.03, a History Department course developed by Prof. Edward Miller and Dr. Bryan Winston.
